I was going through a hard drive with old files on it, and I came across this classic clip from 2003 (?). My ol’ pal, Nick Reiber, was making a movie, and I played Ares, the Greek god of war. Gods of war don’t necessarily wear suspenders, but this was just a rehearsal. Our co-worker, and martial arts pro, Mark Rolli, choreographed this fight, and this is a recording of one of our practice sessions.
This is from a time when I’d been lifting weights for 1-2 years straight, I was still eating dairy, and I still had some of that adorable “baby fat” from adolescence; I weighed around 150 lbs. in this scene. For those of you who know me, as a comparison, I now hover around 125 lbs. (though, that number is increasing now that I’m working out again). Due to an injured wrist (which happened during this actual rehearsal), which kept me from working out, my halt of dairy consumption, and a time of sickness in which I stopped eating much, I dropped from that weight level and have never come close since.
But, for those of you who’ve never seen him, there he is for your viewing pleasure…
