Work vs School

I didn’t see any movies that came out today, though with the holiday there were barely any releases.  The Behind The Counter series was started not just to announce the weekly releases, however, but also as something to relate the experiences of those crazy video store working folk.

When I was still planning on going to school full-time, I had scheduled out this current semester to be a very full one.  I enjoy using RateMyProfessors.com to get an idea of what the teachers might be like, and one of the classes I had signed on for was in part because the professor was not only listed as nice – but as hot.  I figured, if I’m going to be stuck in school all week, I might as well make it as nice a time as I can, right?  They actually had the gal’s picture on there, and I had to agree.  She looked like what I’d expect a somewhat older, Southern California “hot” teacher to look like.  Of course, I never went through with the semester, so I never went into that class.  Why the blueberry muffin is this related to working Behind The Counter?  She came into work yesterday.

I was helping a customer in the morning, when she walked in.  She was dressed as if she’d just come from working out, though I didn’t notice who it was or pay her much specific attention.  After awhile this lady came to check out her movies, and I realized just how beautiful she was (all I’d seen was the back of her head when she came into the store).  She was finishing up a phone conversation, and we joked about how she “almost made it” after she said she tried to finish before she got to the front.  I see beautiful women all of the time, so I just enjoyed the moment like it was any other – however, when I asked for her last name I recognized it as the teacher I almost had.  In the picture she was simply hot, but in person she was so much more beautiful.  I didn’t even have to bother with ID… I knew it was her.  She was a lovely lady, beyond her looks, and it was a real highlight of the day.  So, if you have any general ed left to do, and having a great looking teacher interests you, let me know and I’ll let you know who to take.

I chose to skip school for some pretty solid reasons, but I’m second guessing my decision now for completely different ones 😉
